The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors and chaired by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The Board sets policy and future direction for the Foundation and approves the administration of its funds. The board members are not financially compensated for their services.

Office of the Foundation The Office of the Foundation is based in Zurich and responsible for the day-to-day operation. It manages and evaluates the grants given and supervises the projects and initiatives approved by the Board of Directors. The office is headed by the Foundation’s secretary.
