ONLINE LEARNING
We are currently developing online learning materials which will be the anchors for a wide ranging syllabus of courses and learning resources on topics related to ethics and peace. Please see The Learning Zone site for current offerings.
The Ethics of Altruism is based on the book Ethics for the New Millennium by the Dalai Lama. This foundational course provides a roadmap that individuals of any age or tradition can use to develop a well-grounded ethical foundation for their life.
The Missing Peace: Artists Consider the Dalai Lama – is a major art exhibition that presents art as a lens through which to see our common humanity and explore the many meanings of peace. It features works from 88 artists representing more than 25 countries and began its global tour in 2006. Values-oriented curriculum materials for middle school (approximately ages 10 to 13) and high school (ages 14 to 18) are available at the online learning site.
Many Paths to Peace – What is “peace?” How many ways do you think the question can be answered? In a series of video and audio interviews, you’ll learn more about individual peacemakers and their activities as they try to make their organizations, communities, cities, countries and the world a more peaceful place.
Our vision is to create an online space that supports the study of ethics and peace, where we will present the best material from a wide range of disciplines in a convenient form for use by both groups and individuals
