“We are all tied into a single garment of destiny— whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. Any person’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in all mankind.”
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Peace is for everyone. From biblical times to the Greek philosophers to modern day heroes like Gandhi, the Dalai Lama and Martin Luther King, the message of peace has traveled through the ages. Today, just as the War Memorial in Washington DC sits as a reminder of the pain of war, it is time for its counterpart — a Wall of Peace.

The Peace Wall features the inner wisdom of kids and adults expressing their deep desires and visions for peace. Surrounded by the eternal messages of peace on the Peace Wall, people here and now can create their own Peace Flags and have their voices heard. The idea is to inspire others to know that peace can be a choice that ripples out to the world around us.

The Peace Wall tours cities, museums and events so that people everywhere can have their unique messages included on the Wall. Everyone can spread a little peace. Like laughter, peace can be contagious. Catch some peace and help spread it around! We invite you to share in the adventure!
