The Missing Peace Prints Win Gold

Foundation Website Updates

Curriculum/Learning Group

The Peace and Ethics Curriculum/Learning group of the Dalai Lama Foundation is a dynamic and creative on-line working team. Its members form a diverse group in terms of national and international geography, experience and background.  Some of the activities of the group include study developing and distributing study guides and curriculum materials.

Our Study Circles are groups of people who meet and discuss the concepts of ethics as presented by the Dalai Lama in his book Ethics for the New Millennium. We have developed a Study Guide which is available for downloading from our website.

We have also developed curriculum materials and educator’s guides in conjunction with the art of The Missing Peace Project.  These are available for download at no charge to parents, educators, and students.  Printed copies of the curriculum materials are also available at a minimal charge.  For more information please contact the Foundation office.

Interested in participating in a study circle, or learning more about more of the many projects that the group is currently involved in?  Please contact the study circle coordinator.

The Missing Peace Prints Win Gold

Gold Medal Awards were given to Freddie Allen and The Galivant Group at the 2007 Showcase of Print Excellence, PINC (the print industry association) for the creation of a poster and note cards for The Missing Peace: Artists Consider the Dalai Lama. These are sold at museums wherever The Missing Peace exhibition is held.

Freddie wites,

"The poster and card awards are difficult to win in the gold awards category, as the competition is large and the printing is always very good.  The fact that Galivant won in both areas is outstanding.  So I have to thank The Missing Peace Project for allowing me the opportunity to shine."

Foundation Website Updates

Events with The Dalai Lama added to Events Page

The Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama maintains an official website that contains information about the Dalai Lama, his upcoming travels and his Buddhist teaching schedule. This is the place to look for official information.

In order to better serve the many visitors to our website who are looking for news of where and when the Dalai Lama is going to travel and/or speak, we've added his public events to our events page.

If you have news of upcoming non-religious events, conferences, talks and meetings that we should be aware of - anywhere in the world - in ethics and peace, please send them to us for consideration for our events page!

The Foundation Reaches Around the Globe

To get an idea of our reach, visit our experimental ClustrMap. It currently only picks up a fraction of our visitors, and although it shows that our online visitors are heavily weighted toward Europe and the US, there are many from all over the world.
