ONLINE COURSES

We are currently developing two online courses which will be the anchors for a wide ranging syllabus of courses on topics related to ethics and peace.

Practical Ethics is based on the book Ethics for the New Millennium by the Dalai Lama.  This foundational course provides a roadmap that individuals of any age or tradition can use to develop a well-grounded ethical foundation for their life.

Destructive Emotions will draw on the Mind and Life conference proceedings to offer an introduction to destructive emotions and the path for transforming them.  In addition to His Holiness’s teachings it will include contributions by Thubten Jinpa, Matthieu Ricard, Alan Wallace and others.  The second part of the course will present His Holiness’s teachings on transforming anger through patience, presented in Arizona in 1993 and now available in a book edited and translated by Thubten Jinpa.

There are many other courses in the pipeline.  The larger vision is to create an online university for ethics and peace, presenting the best material from a wide range of disciplines, in a convenient form for use by both groups and individuals
