ONLINE SUPPORT FOR PROJECTS

dalai lama foundation projectsOne of the direct ways The Foundation supports its projects is by offering or advising on the use of online services. These services may be as simple as web hosting, or as far reaching as podcasting, video blogging and RSS feed mashups.

We have a separate website that contains descriptions of the ways in which we support each projects - with an added emphasis on explaining the technical issues so you'll be able to see how we're using technologies to further the interlinked goals of ethical behavior, happiness and peace.

An example of one of the more far-reaching projects that is technology-enabled is Project Happiness. In this project we combine a textbook, inspired teaching, enabled students, and email, video and storytelling, to explore the nature of lasting happiness. This project for high school (12th year) students has its own blog and podcast, and will solicit video stories from participants all over the world as it progresses over the next few school years.

We do have opportunities for talented individuals to work with us or with our partners to further the mission of The Foundation in the online world. Look at our Volunteer page or just email us at volunteer@dlfound.org and let us know what your skills and interests are.
